Tomamu The Tower consists of 2 x 35 storey buildings at the base of the ski area and the hotel is fully ski-in/out. All rooms have western-style beds, a living area and full private bathroom .

Where is the Tomamu Tower Hotel?

The Tomamu Tower Hotel has two towers located at the base of Tomamu Ski Resort and both towers are ski-in/ski-out.  There is a free regular shuttle bus that operates around the village making it very easy to access other areas of the resort such as the wave pool complex and ice village.

Rooms

There are basically 3 room types to choose from….

Twin room- with 2 western beds

Family twin room - with 2 western beds and the capacity for a 3rd person on a sofa bed

Family quad room - with 4 single western beds all in the one bedroom

The rooms are of a generous size by Japanese standards and are equipped with a TV (with satellite channels), free wifi, small fridge, coffee making facilities and lounge area.  The rooms have proper bathrooms with a bath (not those add on portable fixtures you see in some Japanese hotels). Bathrooms come with toiletries, and slippers & bath robes are also provided.

Village Facilities

Tomamu is an awesome family destination with lots of non-ski activities. The wave pool is the largest in the southern hemisphere and also has a spa complex, open-air bath and sauna.  There is an ice village complete with a chapel, hotel, ice bar, ice restaurant and skating rink.  The Polar Village has snow shoeing, snow mobiling and banana boat rides.

Restaurants & Bars

There are a couple of restaurants located in the Tower Hotel and a few connected via a covered walkway plus a few others located around the village.  There are lots of eateries to choose from offering a variety of Japanese and western cuisine.  Unfortunately there isn't a bar in the Tower Hotel (or the rest of the village), however there are plenty of drinks vending machines and several common areas where you can congregate with family & friends.
