The first thing you should know about skiing in Valle Nevado is that accommodation is expensive....very expensive..and not particularly great value.

The hotel Valle Nevado claims to be 5-star however compared to north American resorts I would say it is on-par with a 4-star (at best).

There is no doubt that you are paying for the position which is simply outstanding. You can almost jump from your balcony onto the slopes so this is definately worth a full score.

The staff were generally friendly and there was always enough of them that could speak fluent English. There did seem to be a degree of organised kaos at times!

The rooms were adequate although had a capacity of only 3 so any more in your group and you are up for another room. The beds were very comfortable however there was a noticeable amount of noise coming from the hallway in the evening and in the morning rush hour.

The breakfast in the restaurant was great with a nice variety of food however the other restaurants in the complex were nothing outstanding.

Overall the experience was pleasurable however the value was poor against north American standards. I am glad I have been and stayed here but I won't be back.
