We stayed at The Lodge for a couple of nights. It provides rather standard hotel accommodation and there was nothing particularly remarkable. Facilities were somewhat limited, except for the associated restaurant/bar establishment.

The furniture was a bit old school yet our room was decent sized for just two of us and very functional. The abundance of easily accessible off street parking was a pro. We were a bit worried that noise from the bar would travel to our room, but it was adequately buffered and had a good sleep.

We ate in the restaurant area of the pub, and it was respectable typical New Zealand pub fare.
