Jonnobi

Onsen Ryokan Jon Nobi is a refurbished Japanese Ryokan (hotel) with modern western touches. Jon Nobi is a premium Nozawa property and it means "relaxed & comfortable" in English. They have staff that speak English and westerners are very welcome.

Where is Onsen Ryokan Jon Nobi?

The hotel is located in the centre of Nozawa Onsen Village only 3 mins walk to the Yu Road travelator which whisks you to the central ski area of Hikage Gondola (where ski school and child care are located).

Accommodation Options

Jon Nobi consists of only 16 rooms which come in 4 flavours:

Deluxe Rooms - only 2 (max 4 guests): 2 western single beds plus tatami area for 2 futons. Private ensuite bathroom with toilet & shower studio with small kitchen and dining area

Japanese/Western Rooms (max 4 guests): Two single beds plus tatami area for up to 2 futons. Private ensuite bathrooms with toilet. Bathroom has either a shower or a compact bath.

Standard Japanese Rooms (max 2 guests): Japanese tatami floor & futons. Private ensuite bathroom. Option A: toilet only OR Option B: toilet & shower. Rooms also include television & hair dryer.

Hotel Facilities

The hotel has beautiful mens' and women's segregated onsens (Japanese bath houses) as well as some very nice little private onsens that hotel guests can use free of charge.

There is also a ski storage / drying room and wifi is available.

Restaurants & Bars

The hotel has one of the best restaurants in Nozawa Onsen and a very nice little bar which sells locally produced sake.

The restaurant is traditional Japanese which was inspired in its design by the famous local fire festival.
